I am passionate about having a sensory bin at our house. I have a Masters in Education and specialized in Early Childhood and I could go on and on about how great sensory bings are for you little kiddos.
When you provide them with all these fun things to touch and play with, all their senses are being used. It improves their small motor skills as they squeeze, pinch and touch various items. It peaks their curiosity and the children are learning cause and effect.
There are so many great sensory bins you can buy, but I like to keep things very affordable. I often ask people for food-storage they would be throwing out (the oats your parents have had in their basement for 10 years 🤣). It might not taste great, but it’s so fun to play in!!
